After starting out in local newspaper journalism in the UK, Andy went to work for the conservation organisation WWF as an information officer and copywriter.
He contributed to a number of campaigns, reported on the charity's work from all over the world, and worked with the charity's experts to create guides for healthy sustainable living.
He now writes on health, sustainability and innovation, and continues his fundraising work for non-governmental organisations. He moved to New Zealand in 2007 and lives in Clevedon with his wife Fiona and their son, Balin.
