Today was good as gold. I put him in it before we had to leave just to make sure I had the wee strap thing that does up by your neck in the right place & he was happy as. He found it particularly hilarious if i jigged up and down making a silly "badub-badub-badub" noise

No issues at the mall at all, we didn't walk around long anyway as we were meeting friends for coffee. But he was happy as. He's used to the Moby which is tight so I don't think that's a problem. I'm sure I was right that yesterday he just needed a bit of proper playtime on the floor. He does get sick of being held and carried, he always has done (going to be an independent wee man I think).

I also found the lack of storage a pain, I got a backpack out to take to the mall as my nappy bag is a satchel type bag so not comfortable to wear for long. The backpack worked well & I had my eftpos card just in my pocket for quick access. I am thinking I'll buy a smaller backpack that just fits the essentials for future :) A bum bag could be attached to it somehow though, might look into that too.

Edited to add: BTW I LOVE it :) It is so awesome, so easy to get the baby in and out of & sooooo comfy :D

!

I also find it a problem of where to put things. So I gave my 4yo a little handbag that she carries with my wallet, phone, keys etc. Otherwise my back pockets on jeans are filled up with everything :P. I thought of getting a clip to put somewhere on manduca to attach keys..

I find theres some things I can't do with a manduca in public, like try on clothes or help DD choose shoes. Find that I just have to bend too much to help her and DS gets in the way. That's my only 2 annoyances, otherwise its fabulous for in the shops - no pram to squeeze through tiny aisles.

Manduca makes a nifty little pouch that attaches to the waist belt for things like your wallet & keys etc, it's very handy ;)

Thanks for that Hippymama - I'll ask Ecomoon if they can get me one, seeing as I bought the Manduca from them :) It'd be good if they were advertised a bit more. Might mention it on the Manduca NZ page on FB :)

Thanks Emmi - I got one from My Natural Baby when I ordered my new LE Manduca with my 50% discount. Was $40 from them too :) Looks handy as, it arrived today with my new Manduca. God I LOVE the new one, soooo pretty!! The wee pouch will be way better than carting a whole backpack round all the time!

Those bags sounds cool, might have to look out for one.

Just to add my 2c on the strollers - I'm a keen BWer but have to admit I love our 2nd hand stroller for going running, which is my treat, and DD usually has a nap so it works well. But it seems to have been established that they have their uses sometimes :)

I've always used a backpack to carry stuff. If DD is on my back, then the backpack goes on the front. DD now has her own backpack and so we often just use that if we aren't out shopping. She loves to carry it and when I am carrying her in the MT then I carry her backpack. It's got much easier now that DD is in undies too!
